Remembering that this clock didn’t go forward last time – I am up and dressed and nearly awake and wondering if the window cleaner is coming – he comes early. He doesn’t come if it rains and it’s spitting but I will hold off from unlocking the back gate.

The gibberish and complete nonsense coming out of Washington makes one think. Surely there’s something that they can do!

I’m having a really good day. Everything has fallen into place, things are going well and I’m relatively happy. And it’s nice to have the opportunity to say so. Lull before a storm – l hope not!

I was in the bath around 4.40 am and took breakfast upstairs after and now I’m up and dressed and getting on with the day. I’m expecting a delivery and wanted to wash my hair first so quite happy with my morning.

With the advance of Reform and people possibly voting them in at the next General Election. So many people have such short memories. They voted for them before to leave the EU which gave us Brexit. They now know that was the wrong thing to do but they still consider voting for them again. Really annoying and beyond my comprehension.

I like to have a sleep-in on a Saturday but Royal Mail are delivering a package to me this morning and I’m not sure if it will go through the letterbox. Perhaps I can have a snooze later.

There’s nothing quite like that first coffee of the day. Absolutely wonderful! Real pleasure! Heaven!

I heard something on the television yesterday for the first time. That a woman has to have over three miscarriages before there’s any medical investigation. I find that rather shocking.

I have a dress which needs a new hem on it and I asked my friend S if she would mind dropping it into the sewing place but she replied that she would probably be able to do it on her sewing machine. Brilliant!

When it was nearly 2.00 am I decided to give up and got dressed. I thought I might nod off in the armchair but that didn’t happen even though I am quite tired now. Just about to have breakfast.
