Well, that’s what they say. I wasn’t in a good way this morning and, after a bath, I spent the rest of the day reading my New Statesman and didn’t really think about much else. So, as I said – better late than never…

I do love Sundays. I have just brought my breakfast upstairs. I have two latte mugs of coffee (mugs with lids), a blueberry Activia live yoghurt, a punnet of strawberries and my after breakfast meds. Yummy! All in time for Trevor Phillips which is just starting.

When I think about political figures and the dangers with some of them I think about the ways that Hitler did it. They worked out what the people would like to hear before they made their political statements and comments. I know quite a few of our figures have admired Adolf. It all just fills me with dread.

I started the day with everything running late because I slept late. I have now caught up with it all and been able to watch the major cabinet reshuffle of the government on Sky News live from Downing Street. When you know who all the characters are then it’s quite interesting.

Wednesday was a bad day. I had to sort out the information held on me and it was a lot more complicated than I had realised. And having worried about it for the rest of the day it also stopped me from sleeping. So I am downstairs writing this instead of being out for the count.

I’m really struggling this morning. I have things to do but finding it really difficult to concentrate. Oh well!

I had intended to get up early ish today but was shocked to see that it was around 9.00 when I woke up. Only just getting my head back down to earth and ready for the day.

We are so lucky in this country when it comes to natural disasters or poisonous snakes or spiders or, in fact, anything l can think of. Even the weather isn’t too bad.

I have woken up in time to fetch my breakfast in bed. The political programmes l like to watch are coming back from their summer break starting with Trevor Phillips which is on Sky News in 20 minutes. I am really pleased.

Whether they are calling themselves the National Front or Reform Party they are the same lot. Whether they’re persecuting refugees or promoting Brexit we remember. At least some of us do. Others seem to have very short memories.
