It’s been a very busy day and I have just settled in front of the television and realised that I haven’t written on here today. My friends are coming soon and there’s lots of tidying to do before that but I might just have to apologise.

I woke up thinking that I really can’t afford Xmas this year or, rather, the four birthdays coming up in the next two months. I would be miserable to cancel it all but I will just have to cut back on what I buy. Never mind!

I’m very sorry for people who live in natural disaster areas and thankful we are relatively safe here in the UK. I do wonder how much the lifestyle of humans adds to those disasters besides Climate Change which is all down to us. Not to do anything about it is very selfish and worrying.

I’m trying to decide whether I can put up with my greasy hair until I feel better or whether I can face getting into a bath and washing my hair. I will just have to see how I feel in a little while l think, which is about all I can manage at this moment.

I have had a rotten cold since yesterday and feeling rather rough and really hoping it will pass quickly. I’m expecting a delivery of a raincoat and will think again when it has been delivered.

I sorted out all my clocks – the hard bit is putting them all back on the wall. On most of them there’s a strange thing that sticks out which includes a slot one has to position over the screw in the wall which, of course, one keeps missing and l don’t want to disturb my neighbours. But it’s now complete and time for breakfast in bed. Trevor Phillips has just started and now my blog should say the right time!

I have been awake since 12.40. I rested in bed as long as I could but have now come downstairs and about to have breakfast. I have heard before about the elderly not sleeping but I have done this since I was quite young but maybe not so often back then.

I’m up early because I’m expecting a delivery and you never know! I had better make some coffee… it might make me feel better. I managed to buy a raincoat with a hood in the sales. I could have done with it yesterday when I went to the surgery and it rained most of the day. My dear friend and volunteer driver took me… these drivers are wonderful and that’s before they become friends as me and C… have become.

If I had used the words that they were praying – the word praying normalises their behaviour – whereas if you put it another way then it is easier to see as quite crazy behaviour.

There are many words which explain away our behaviour and when you change them it seems to change how you see things. So UKs King and Queen have travelled to Italy to try to send thought messages to the Gods in the sky with someone who doesn’t do much else to see if they can do it together. Is this rational behaviour?
