There’s someone coming that I don’t know and they will be here for a couple of hours. I have been trying to get my chores and my personal matters sorted out before they come anytime now.

I had a busy day yesterday or so it seemed but I hadn’t slept so maybe that’s why it felt so. Today I don’t seem to be able to get going. Maybe after my late breakfast – as I have many things to do. I pushed myself yesterday and walked farther than I have for a long time.

I have had no sleep this night. I did go to bed for a few hours and then around two l gave up, got dressed and came downstairs. I have watched a few things l had recorded including a detective programme that I am currently watching. And l have ordered a breakfast delivery which I have never done before. Looks like a busy day.

Don’t forget that I still haven’t been able to put my clock on my blog forward that hour like all my other clocks. By the time I manage to get it sorted it will probably be time to put it back again. I need to get straight forward instructions on how to do it and only my son can help me with that. If only I remember to ask him next time he visits. At the moment I am just having difficulty getting this post published on here!

Despite what some of the panel had to say l found that the interview with Pat McFadden who was the first guest on Trevor Phillips this morning really lifted my spirits. What a lovely start to the morning. What a wonderful character!

I have the News channel on as usual at this time of day. The funeral of Pope Francis is in full swing. It’s mostly in Italian and Latin l think which makes more sense than the bits in English. I wonder how long this is going to take. But I have my Saturday morning chores to do after breakfast before I settle down with my New Statesman a little later.

Wondering what a certain President is going to do next when it comes to Ukraine. He is now saying that if Russia doesn’t stop attacking in the next few days then he will completely change course. We shall see!

I went to the hospital yesterday about my wrist which has an angry tendon. Basically I was told that nothing could be done and I will just have to add it to my growing list of ailments. Some things about getting older aren’t wonderful but I suppose I could have done this at any age.

The sight of a bunch of cardinals walking and chanting brought the word gaggle to mind. A gaggle of cardinals seemed to sound just right.

I know that the Pope dying affects quite a lot of people but I was getting very fed up with the news about it all day. There was nothing else on the television yesterday and as it was a bank holiday there wasn’t much to do.
