Wait and see!

Another night when I didn’t sleep at all and got up again at 12.55. It seems to be happening more often which I believe can happen as one gets older but I will just have to wait and see!
Earthquake

A terrible earthquake has hit Syria and Turkey. Hundreds are dead. I believe that we have offered to help. We are so lucky living here.
Sheltered housing

I have been thinking that maybe I am going to have to move to sheltered housing at some point but I would miss being close to the City Centre, near my friends and able to get food takeaways delivered which I can have here. I will need advice.
A Chinese meal

I visited a neighbour last night and we ordered in a Chinese meal and drank a bottle of chilled Rose. I had a lovely time and feel the effects this morning.
Went missing

I feel for all the family and friends of Nikki who went missing one week ago in Lancashire. It must be quite terrible to not know what has happened to her.
Someone else

I have someone who comes in once a week and helps with lots of things like changing my bedding and putting in the washing machine. Unfortunately she has Covid so someone else coming this week.
On strike

Lots of people out on strike today. After thirteen years of austerity it is time for a change of government. Not that I trusted the Tories anyway but the state we are in just shows what they have done.

Both parents need to work in most families these days but it is heartbreaking when one’s young child is put into childcare when you have to go back to work however much you like your job. I had planned to have two children and stay at home with them until the youngest one was five. It would be the most important thing of my life. And no, I never got over it.
