The new Chancellor is going to give an ‘Autumn Statement’  this morning. Why he just can’t call it a budget…? Hopefully this Tory’s idea of how we get out of this financial mess isn’t too bad. But I am not holding my breath!

I had to get up really early yesterday so I completely overslept this morning. I had better get on even though I have the threat of a UTI hanging over me.

Brexit is the now unthinkable word to say. I thought it was a mistake before and I still think it was a terrible mistake and I hope a government of ours will sooner rather than later try to reverse it if Europe would ever consider it.

I am trying to get some weight off and knew I shouldn’t have eaten the macaroni cheese I had already ordered. I won’t order it again!

I had another call from an Indian woman purporting to be from my telephone company at 8.30 this morning. I was very tired and was still asleep but told her what my genuine telephone company said when I reported the same yesterday! It silenced her.

I had a bath and washed my hair this morning. I no longer can lie down in the bath because I don’t feel I could pull myself up again so I have gone back to pouring jugs of water over my head just like my mother used to when I was a child. What is that about going full circle?

I waited three days for the Technician and asked Customer Services why they are not coming. He said most people sort the problem themselves and my landline will stop working next week. This time I have an appointment with an Engineer and I have a four hour slot when they will come. Hopefully they will turn up.

So I phoned to see what had happened to the Technician. They apologised and said one would come that day after 12.00. So I listened and looked out and nobody came. Maybe there is a reason. I will phone and ask!

I waited all day yesterday for a Technician to call. I was up early and didn’t give up on them until gone 7 pm. I will have to phone them today!

I have an appointment with a nurse at the surgery coming up. Being a selfish creature I hope she is not on strike although I am thoroughly behind the nurses in their demands for better pay. I have just had a long wait.
