I have had a clear out of glasses and mugs which I have got too many of and I have just retrieved a cardboard box from my wheelie bin which I will have to tape back together again. I am hoping my dear friend S will take them to a charity shop for me.

I managed to get up smartish because I am expecting a delivery this morning. Hopefully I will wake up soon.

I wish you all a very Happy New Year. May 2025 be a wonderful year for all of us though I, for one, have woken up to a miserable dark wet morning… hopefully it will brighten up later!!

I am up but I can’t say that I’m awake. Still very tired but got up because expecting a delivery sometime soon!!

Today, for the second time, I discovered when starting to eat my breakfast, that I had done all my early morning chores – having come downstairs – without my lower denture. How embarrassing because I have someone coming soon.

I didn’t wake up until gone 9.00 and much too late to have breakfast in bed because I am also expecting a delivery at some point a little later. But my usual Sunday morning programmes are having a Christmas break so there’s just regular news on this morning.

I have a very lopsided tummy – being much bigger on the right than on the left. Many years ago it was looked at by a doctor who said “fatty deposit” with disgust and I haven’t mentioned it to anyone since but now and then I wonder if it’s something more sinister.

I don’t usually have breakfast in bed any other day but Sunday and, this year, Christmas Day as well but I have awoken early and thought I would take advantage of it. What a treat!

I don’t feel all that brilliant today although I am supposed to see people at lunchtime. I will have to see how I am in an hour or so before I decide what to do! I was looking forward to seeing them and would hate to put them off but don’t want to spread any diseases.

Happy Christmas everyone. Season’s greetings to all! I am not a Christian but still wish everyone a wonderful day! I just wish it was a Winter’s festival without all the superstition which has overtaken it! And all the gobbledygook some take upon themselves to spout which ruins it for those like me!
