I was thinking yesterday that time and again I was told “pull yourself together “ “there’s no mental illness in our family “ “what are you doing in a place like this “. “sort yourself out, we can’t help with your son anymore “ and “if you put your mind to it you could stop doing that “ when l was shuffling from one foot to the other or rocking back and forth “you could stop doing that if you put your mind to it”. I have ended up feeling very sensitive about it.

I haven’t been up long… l was too tired to get up this morning. Not feeling that great.

It looks like the programme ‘Politics Live’ which is on most days is back from its summer holiday on BBC2 at 12.15 today. I would probably feel more elated if I didn’t feel a bit poorly still. Woke up in the early hours with ear ache which I never have. Seems to have eased off now.

It seems like a very long time ago when all the political programmes broke for the summer. It was a real surprise when Trevor Phillips popped up on Sky News this morning – what a treat!

I had extra to drink last night and, as always if I do, I examine my actions and consider them carefully but I don’t do it very often so I believe it’s okay. But very important that I think about it!

Not been feeling that great since last night. Temperature is up a bit so I did a Covid test which was negative. Probably just a cold.

Running a bit slow this morning although I am rarely energetic first thing. I found it very difficult to get up today but my bath has sorted that out. I’m glad that it’s the end of the week!!

After my cleaner/helper/friend left I got the washing on of the bedding she had changed earlier. It was nice weather and I managed to get it dried outside in batches and then folded and put away upstairs in the afternoon. That was the first time I had managed to get it outside since I hurt my hand which really hurts this morning.

A dear friend gave me a gentle exercise to do with my hand and I only did it once. And yesterday and today my hand has been really hurting. Of course they might not be connected but he said not to do it again anyway. Pain runs from my little finger knuckle right the way up to my elbow. Just taken some more painkillers.

Another night when I can’t sleep so I have come downstairs. I might try again a little later. Although if l stay awake this night there are plenty of things l can get done but it will have to be quietly.
