I have new bathroom scales because my old ones were playing up. At the moment they are both side by side. The new ones make me heavier than the old ones. Grrr…

So the UK economy is no longer in recession. I wondered what rabbit the Tories would pull out of the hat. We will have to wait and see if that makes a difference with the voters.

My weight is gradually coming off. I am very delighted. Although it is very slowly!

It’s so frustrating when one is expecting an important email and it doesn’t arrive. I keep looking – aware that I usually receive similar emails over half an hour ago. I shall keep looking!

I have my head full of bad memories again this morning – carried on from last night. Hopefully I will be able to distract myself in a little while. There’s an item on the News channel about public toilets. When I was a child they were all over the place and usually had someone in attendance to keep them in a good condition. It’s a shame that they have mostly gone. They are going to discuss single sex toilets in a minute!

I was trying to remove some ties from around a flex with some very sharp scissors and I cut through my left index finger. There was blood pouring in all directions. I went through quickly to the kitchen and somehow managed to get a plaster on it. I was wondering what l would do if it didn’t contain it. To my relief that was the end of the drama and when the plaster fell off later there was nothing to see. It did prompt me to order a First Aid kit though so I am prepared if there’s a ‘next time’.

I felt really tired this morning having not slept the night before but I forced myself to get up because I am expecting a delivery sometime today. But maybe I will be able to have a doze a little later!

I am up tonight waiting to see the Local Election results on the television. It is too early to decide on how it is going so l will just have to be patient. Labour in the lead so far but not going to count my chickens any time soon.

I didn’t feel like I could get up this morning – I knew that I had to but it was a struggle. So I hadn’t been up that long when the window cleaner came. I am so organised these days.

Trying to get ready before S gets here. I realised that I had to write a birthday card for her to post. Then I changed the page on my calendar and saw another card for doing – this time to go abroad and then I saw a third card needing doing for something else. Oh dear! Better get it sorted!
