I scratched my throat on a chip the other evening and have had a sore throat ever since. I did a test the other day which was negative but I will keep an eye on it.

My friend Z came around with fish and chips and we spent a couple of hours catching up and eating. I hadn’t seen her for a while and it was really nice to spend some time with her… back to the diet!

I don’t know why I am so tired this morning. I woke up late and feel absolutely exhausted although I had a good sleep. I will see how I go!

A dear friend that I have known for a very long time that I have had problems getting hold of for some time and I was worrying about rang and wished me a happy St Patrick’s Day. Lovely to chat and hear that he is okay.

It’s St Patrick’s Day today. As my family is Irish we always celebrated this day but one of my sisters told me a few years ago that St Patrick’s Day is all about celebrating Ireland becoming a Catholic country and as l am an atheist that’s not something I would want to celebrate. I haven’t really enjoyed the day ever since which is a shame. So I just feel sad and as though I am at a loss.

My dear friend and neighbour C came to my rescue with a box big enough to take both pairs of curtains l want to return to the retailers. Now, hopefully, all l have to do is stick the label on and phone for the courier. But I will wait and see what arrives in the post.

I have two parcels to send back to the retailers but they are only sending one label. I told Customer Service that I would need two labels but I will wait to see what arrives. I might need someone to copy and print a second one. What a faff!

The item about the children across the UK who are shooting animals with their catapults, filming it and posting on WhatsApp is absolutely chilling. Hopefully something will be done about it promptly or we will have another generation of psychologically damaged people not to mention all those poor creatures that are being shot.

With all of the racism that is going around involving MPs l wonder if this will be brought up at Prime Minister’s questions in parliament at 12.00. I try to watch it each Wednesday on television.

I had to admit this morning that I hadn’t worked out how to empty my new vacuum cleaner. How embarrassing. I will need to find out how!
