I find myself here again – curled up in my armchair in dressing gown and pjs – with the television on wondering if I am going to get any sleep tonight and be awake and out of bed before the window cleaner is up his ladder first thing. All l know is that I couldn’t lie in bed anymore waiting to nod off as soon as possible.

I have been struggling and very low but, as a good friend just said to me, I have many good friends who love me dearly which gives me the strength to carry on. Also, someone close to me is in the hospital and I am concerned for them but, hopefully, they will pull through and I will have good news about them later in the week.

It doesn’t matter how many times one is put down, each time is like another slap in the face.

I was back in the dog house yesterday – l was so upset last night that I had a glass or two of wine and l never drink on a Monday especially as I am getting over a medical problem but that was yesterday and all seems better today – I think!

I have felt poorly this weekend but quite a bit better today! Just had a bath and washed my hair and taking it easy for a day or two – although I don’t do anything strenuous anyway and not without feeling exhausted. My thoughts are with my daughter in law who is having a medical procedure done this morning. Hopefully all okay!

Feeling pretty rotten and having a ‘later than usual’ breakfast in bed in front of Trevor Phillips on the television. Finding it difficult to have any interest in either of them. I did a Covid test earlier and that was negative. Hopefully this will all pass on its own in due course but I will keep an eye on it!

Well, throughout Saturday I felt like I had a urinary tract problem. And throughout the night I made several trips for a wee and a bit of a thirst on me. Today, so far, I feel like I have a bit of a cold on me as well. I have just popped downstairs for a thermometer and I have a slight temperature. What a nuisance!

Everything seems to have cost much more this year which I have been putting down to my takeaways which have become a part of my life like a lot of people in the Cities. But there again Xmas is an expensive time of year including the postage to send greetings to my friends and family here and abroad. Although I am not a Christian I do love this time of year.

I have gone back to watching the BBC as my main News channel after a long time away although I have been watching ‘The Context’ which is a nice end to the day. I am finding it very refreshing this morning after the right wing slant on the other channel.

I have been unable to get hold of meal replacement bars for the past month or so and have gone back to the milkshake meal replacements for two meals a day for three days a week. But, to my delight, I have discovered a new place to get them that will deliver. Brilliant! I will be able to get back to having one for breakfast three days a week.
