I have brought my breakfast upstairs to have in bed. An apricot live Activia yoghurt, a punnet of strawberries and two latte mugs of coffee with lids. Sky News on my little television and ten minutes before Trevor Phillips. I have taken my pills to be had before breakfast and I have brought my after meal pills with me – all wrapped up in a piece of kitchen roll. Excellent! It is also my wedding anniversary. I have been divorced many many years and he is now deceased but I reflect.

Gobbledegook
September 13th, 2025 | Deirdre | Diary
Oh dear, I do hate it when people start talking gobbledegook on the television. Especially when it’s on the News Channel. But I suppose it’s just another reminder of how gullible people can be.
Perhaps they do!

I wish they would stop bashing the Prime Minister – some media outlets have been at it since he took over. Do they really want to go back to the Tories – or, even worse, Reform. Perhaps they do!
Reasonable country
September 11th, 2025 | Deirdre | Diary
We seem to be taking a backward step with the resurgence of religious utterances mostly from USA. I get really disappointed when I hear encouragement for people to spend their time and energy trying to send messages to gods in the sky. I do love Sundays. I have just brought my breakfast upstairs. I have two latte mugs of coffee (mugs with lids), a blueberry Activia live yoghurt, a punnet of strawberries and my after breakfast meds. Yummy! All in time for Trevor Phillips which is just starting.
Ways that Hitler did
September 6th, 2025 | Deirdre | Diary
When I think about political figures and the dangers with some of them I think about the ways that Hitler did it. They worked out what the people would like to hear before they made their political statements and comments. I know quite a few of our figures have admired Adolf. It all just fills me with dread.
Cabinet reshuffle
September 5th, 2025 | Deirdre | Diary
I started the day with everything running late because I slept late. I have now caught up with it all and been able to watch the major cabinet reshuffle of the government on Sky News live from Downing Street. When you know who all the characters are then it’s quite interesting.
