Lots of pain

I’m still in lots of pain from my bruised muscles and unable to do much except clock watch until my next Co-dydramol. Hopefully it will ease off a bit later. I know it’s addictive but I will be careful.

Really stupid

I was watching a recording of a serious programme on the BBC. The female presenter was wearing the most ridiculous shoes. She couldn’t even stand on them never mind walk. Really stupid.

In pain

I was in a bit of pain yesterday but last night it got worse and today I am really finding everything difficult. I spoke with a doctor at the surgery and l then saw him a couple of hours ago. Thankfully he said it is just bruising and he has prescribed some Co-dydramol which has taken the edge off but still not pain free. Oh well, perhaps it is accumulative.

Difficult to function

Finding it very difficult to function this morning. I have chores to do but somehow can’t seem to get up and started. Maybe I will feel more like it this afternoon or tomorrow. Still having my brunch so maybe after that?…

What a treat!

Well I was so tired yesterday that I didn’t attempt to read but I have managed to get up early enough to fetch my breakfast and back to bed before Trevor Phillips. What a treat!

My New Statesman

Just about to settle down with my New Statesman for the afternoon but my eyes are tired so I might end up just watching the television and basically resting instead.

Is there rot?

Is there rot at the centre of the government or even the Labour Party or is it that there are a number of people in the media who have been very critical of Sir Keir Starmer ever since he became Prime Minister – even before we had time to get to see who and what he is about?

Flying forward

It was midday yesterday and I was rushing to the loo and decided to grab my jacket with a short detour. The next thing I knew I was flying forward through the air. I grabbed a chair and that fell with me. I had forgotten the large box and gone over it. I managed to right the chair and managed to pull myself up and headed to the armchair where I stayed until my friends who were taking me out to lunch arrived. As I was wobbly we decided to order fish cake and chips all around. Only one bruise has come out this morning. I have pale grey and pink areas on my knees but will wait and see what comes out. But I have got away pretty lucky so far.

Admiration and respect

I have such admiration and respect for people like Alex Crawford and Stuart Ramsay who go to dangerous places all over the world and talk to the people for Sky News and for all of us – if you can be bothered to listen.

Years ago

I have just been thinking: l still feel the pain of having to go back to work full time when my son was only two, he was reading but we had writing and numbers to prepare him for and he needed a brother or sister. I had carried these wishes since I was young and I still feel the pain. Of course, I blamed my husband but he is no longer with us so it’s pointless. I should have said something years ago. And Margaret Thatcher played her part in our situation as well…
