So I finally relaxed having been very stressed all week. I came to bed earlier than of late and slept really well until a loud high pitched beep woke me up. I had no idea where it was coming from but I followed the sound downstairs and found it was coming from the smoke alarm. I thought it had recently been put in but on further investigation it is the old alarm which has been there for many years and as it is surplus to requirements l will have to find someone to come and remove it for me. Hopefully sometime on Sunday! I have closed the door in between to try to muffle the sound but don’t think I can get back to sleep with it beeping.
