I have been so tired but couldn’t get to sleep last night until quite late. This morning I turned off the alarm at 7.00 then it was 8.35 and Trevor Phillips was on and then it was well gone 10. I have just come downstairs and made up my breakfast basket like any other Sunday and I have just put on Trevor Phillips which I always record. It’s just much later than usual and in the sitting room.

I get really fed up with the Tories bragging about what they will do. Then why didn’t they…? After 14 years of them… I hope everyone remembers for a long time. And Reform…? They’re even worse. Goodness knows what harm they could do!

They’re talking about the mistakes in prisons of releasing the wrong people. And the Tories are blaming the Labour Party. It was the Tories who made drastic cuts of an experienced workforce and then, of course, when new staff were eventually taken on they were inexperienced…. and then there’s the overcrowding. That all created this shambles.

There seems to be a glimmer of hope coming out of USA with the win of a Democrat for Mayor of New York. Thank goodness for that. No such luck for here. Reform is still doing well in the polls.

I had to be up early this morning so when I woke up wanting the loo I decided not to lie down again for fear of falling asleep. Still very dark outside.

I’m trying to get rid of the after taste and feel a little nauseous and fragile. Oh dear!

I have just taken a first bite of a salted caramel meal replacement bar. I can’t decide whether it is quite nice or really just disgusting. But it’s only 202 calories. And, with some fruit, a really easy breakfast.

I only just made it back upstairs in time for Trevor Phillips with my breakfast in a basket. It’s a metal mesh basket with a wooden handle and each week I hope that it won’t give way from the weight halfway up the stairs on my stairlift. Oh well, l managed another week so far.

I woke up quite early but was wanting to look at my emails and see if three very little items were still being delivered today. I had to get up in the end and check it out on my tablet. They don’t know apparently. I will just have to wait and see. Little items like gift tags would be easy to lose track of l should imagine.

It’s been a very busy day and I have just settled in front of the television and realised that I haven’t written on here today. My friends are coming soon and there’s lots of tidying to do before that but I might just have to apologise.
