I am really tired in the mornings but it will probably take some time before I am used to getting up an hour earlier.
Purple and mauve

My son said that my gift had been delivered and there was nothing here… So I looked outside. I heard my name being called and my neighbour from two doors down had found a box outside his door. It was the most beautiful bouquet of purple and mauve flowers from Waitrose – lovely smell – and a half sized bottle of Prosecco. I don’t remember much after that!
Happy Mother’s Day

The clocks went forward an hour last night which I mostly sorted on Friday and today is Mother’s Day. I woke around six and was aware what time it would have been and that my son had said that there is a little something coming today so I got up early. I will see what the day brings. I was quite stressed yesterday so I had some wine and then I ordered scamp and chips. Oh well! That was quite a break from my healthy eating plan.

Apparently they have now found that there are microplastics in 77% of people’s bloodstreams. They don’t know how it will affect us.

My friend who comes to help me on a Wednesday messaged me. Her daughter’s babysitter at the weekend has tested Covid positive and her daughter has started coughing. I don’t know if she should come or not. I thought she should but we should socially distance.

My builders came yesterday and knocked down my front wall. They will be back quite soon this morning to build a new one. That’s probably the last thing to get done before we are all plunged into poverty. Not that I have much anyway!

I am not eligible for the latest Covid vaccinations even though I am considered clinically extremely vulnerable. Wondering if I will be eligible for free Covid tests – I don’t think that they have announced it yet.

Is what is going on in Ukraine genocide? I believe it is! Are those Russians responsible war criminals? I believe they are! Are we going to do something about it? Like millions of others – I am still waiting…
