My weight management programme that I have been on for one year has come to an end and I have been a little reckless for the past week or two but I am back on the straight and narrow…

I don’t know why there’s such criticism of Sir Keir Starmer and the Labour Party although it suits the Conservative Party and their followers to keep at it. I really feel that Labour have done really well in their first four months in power and, although they have had to do some unpopular things, they are at least making a difference.

The more I hear about the political situation in USA the more I worry. It really does look very bleak. But I suppose one needs to keep an open mind and just hope that nothing too bad happens. Four years to pace this time. We went through fourteen years with the Tories in here so it’s a matter of waiting and hoping…

I realised before breakfast that I was running out of cash but one of my friends drove me so I could replenish my funds. So I was late doing my chores and only just sat down with my New Statesman to read. I got there eventually.

Not 100% today. Woke up very tired and a bit of a sore throat and water works problem again. I had difficulty getting up but have managed it now. Perhaps I will feel better after a bath – or on the other hand maybe I should cancel it, I don’t know – in a bit of a dither!

The fear that something l have had a problem with for quite a while might be something more sinister came back last night and I have decided it is time that l mentioned it to someone. I will see if I can change my doctor’s phone appointment back to a face to face.

I woke up at 8.29 and knew I had someone coming around 9.00. Just got down and made my coffee and breakfast when she arrived. Trying to sort myself out now!

My weight management programme came to an end yesterday. It was really strange not having to post everything l eat and drink and last night I realised that I could take my tatty looking step counter off especially as it didn’t affect my behaviour. I will mostly stick to my eating plan and calorie count each day though. And keep an eye on my weight.

I have recently signed up for weekly draws which don’t cost very much and you have a lot better chance of winning something than the national lottery although a much smaller prize. You never know your luck!
