Still taking the tablets…

Giving me pain

I was so tired on Wednesday morning but when it came to getting to sleep this night I have struggled and finally come downstairs. My poorly hand has been giving me pain and I wanted to rub in some ibuprofen gel. Maybe I will get some sleep in a little while.

Hand surgeon

I went to see the hand surgeon at the hospital yesterday. He said he is pretty sure it’s an angry ECU tendon. He said not to take the support off and he offered me a plaster cast. I declined. I now must wait for a letter with an appointment for an ultrasound where, if it is as suspected, then I will receive a guided steroid injection. In the meantime I will not give myself any more breaks without the wrist support!

Incredibly difficult

It was suggested by a Tory MP that some cultures are less valid than others. To me all people are equal but some of the socialisation programmes utilised in this country are just as damaging as those adopted abroad. I was brought up as a Roman Catholic. To shake off what was put into me in my younger days was incredibly difficult even after years of counselling.

Dragging out

The Tories are really dragging out this leadership contest. What part of ‘we are all fed up with seeing the Tories on our televisions’ do they not understand. I, for one, would be happy if they just went away.

Wait and see

We are all waiting to see what happens next in the Middle East. There’s so many people who are with Israel but not with Netanyahu and his right wing leadership but we will just have to wait and see.

Dicky tummy

My friend E came to visit yesterday and we had a lovely lunch and wine which was early for me but I continued drinking afterwards. Unfortunately I have a dicky tummy this morning which I hope will settle soon. I have just brought breakfast upstairs and have Trevor Phillips on the television. Fortunately there’s a loo close by.

Very proud

My son sent me a video and I have watched it several times. I think he has grown up into a very fine young man. I am very proud of him.

In the future!

I came down for about an hour very early this morning and then took my book back to bed where I tried to read for a while. I think it’s something that I try in the future!

Never questioned

The News channel l watch in the mornings and throughout some of the day is attacking the Labour Prime Minister again. I have never questioned their motives before but I am considering changing what I watch. I haven’t really noticed it on any of the other channels so far – he is a very new Prime Minister.

Just as scary

I watched the Prime Minister at Conference on the television and was relatively pleased with what I heard but I am a Labour voter. But try as I do, l feel very uncomfortable when I see the Union flag which l feel is one of the flags of the far right. I have English friends who see it that way too. And the English flag is just as scary. I think it’s a shame and very sad for everyone but it has probably been seen that way by many for a long time.
