Ireland has formally recognised the State of Palestine. What that will mean l will just have to wait and see… hopefully it is a new beginning – I must be patient and wait.

I don’t understand my broadband supplier. Every eighteen months or so they start messing around with my package. I am just happy to keep what I have but it turns out that if I am to do that it will cost me an extra £30 a month. I am not happy!

I am just about to tuck into my breakfast in bed. I brought up in my metal basket a mug of coffee, a mug of chilled filtered water, a blueberry live yoghurt, some raspberries and blueberries and my tablets to be taken after food. I have Trevor Phillips coming on the television and then Laura Kuenssberg recording downstairs. I am so organised but only because I do the same thing every Sunday. Very boring… ha!

There will be protests about the sewage in the water and l believe most people will be in agreement. Water companies shouldn’t be dumping raw sewage in our rivers and near our beaches. And l think it’s scandalous that their shareholders are getting large payouts at the same time.

So I couldn’t get to sleep last night and got up again around 12.30. I watched some television and didn’t get back to bed until around 3.00 am. I am really tired this morning and, as I am expecting a delivery, don’t know what time I will manage to have a bath and wash my hair. I’m too old for this.

The situation in Eastern Ukraine isn’t going very well – the Russians really should be ashamed of themselves. Whether it’s true that the citizens of Russia are unable to do anything about the leadership l really don’t know. It is true that anyone who attempts it comes a cropper but surely someone…

I had a mad moment yesterday and before I knew it I had ordered plaice and chips. It was from a new company and it arrived really quickly. Very nice to have a hot take away and I enjoyed every mouthful. I am scared to see what I weigh this morning.

I phoned my broadband supplier again. They wrote me a new package for my TV etc. She also suggested that I delete some of my emails because my inbox is pretty full. It worked like magic… I think my emails are okay now.

My broadband has been playing up. I have phoned them several times now but l am still not receiving all of my emails or not for hours. Also they made attempt to sell me the sports and cinema channels. I just have to double check that they have been cancelled because I only understood half of what the man was saying.

I haven’t watched Eurovision since it was the old format and Terry Wogan hosted it. I used to really enjoy the voting and Wogan’s little snippets of fun and enlightenment.
