Still taking the tablets…

Happy Chocolate Day

Happy Chocolate Day. I don’t believe any of that ridiculous stuff but I do enjoy the holiday and, of course, chocolate. Happy Chocolate Day to everyone who has some chocolate and happy holiday to everyone else!

Lovely visit

I had a lovely visit from my son and his partner. It took them five and a half hours to get here in the bank holiday traffic but it was still a good visit. They brought me a Hotel Chocolat Easter egg and also some new saucepans which was really nice of them.

Rang the Engineer

Of course, being a Bank Holiday, when I was coming down on my stairlift this morning it broke down. Well, it went a few inches and then stopped and I had to keep refreshing the switch. So I managed to get down and rang the Engineer. I was told to send it up and down with the remote which I did and then I took it upstairs and back with me on. It seems fine now. So I went on preparing for my day.

Weight management

Apparently this weight management programme the surgery put me forward for, the aim is a loss of 5% of body weight by six months and 10% by the year. I have nearly lost 10% in twenty weeks so they are very pleased with me and I am really chuffed.

Plenty of time

I realised that I have plenty of time so had a bath and washed my hair. I feel much better now although extremely tired.

Needs a wash

I am aware that my hair needs a wash but I am really tired and thinking that I can postpone it. I have S coming to help me hang some new curtains in a little while and don’t feel up to rushing!

A lot happening

There’s a lot happening today and over the next few days. I have visitors coming within the hour.

Breakfast in bed

I am feeling a lot better and a lot less stressed now that everything has been sorted out about my new furniture. So I am having breakfast in bed as usual for a Sunday.

Should feel better

Today I feel like I have a rotten cold so not much energy. I usually read my New Statesman on a Saturday but I don’t feel much like it. It’s the Easter Special which covers two weeks so I will read it next weekend when I should feel better.

After breakfast

I had a Shingrix non live shingles vaccination yesterday and I feel pretty rotten and my arm is very sore. On top of that I didn’t sleep well so I’m wondering if it would be okay for me to have a bath and wash my hair or if I should postpone it. I will see how I am after breakfast.
