Still taking the tablets…

Sad and thirsty

I wasn’t expecting anything yesterday but my son sent me a strange text just before there was a knock at the door. A flat package from Waitrose. Turns out he had sent me some lovely flowers for Mother’s Day. They looked a little sad and thirsty but a lot better now. A lovely thought!

From my son

I hadn’t received any post for several days when I received a fairly large bundle yesterday including my weekly TV Times, my New Statesman, a letter to say that I don’t have bowel cancer and a lovely Mother’s Day card from my son and his partner that I have just opened which has just made my day!

Better hurry up!

I have a visitor coming soon and I have completely overslept and there’s so many chores to do. So I had better hurry up!

I must be sensible!

Torn between getting a bargain if I buy now but I can’t afford it this month even though I would save £32 and they will probably sell out. No… l must be sensible!

A woman’s rights

Women’s rights are doing so well in countries like France where abortion has been written into the constitution whereas things are now so bad in USA where there has been a swing to the right in some states. A woman should have the right to decide for herself whether she wants to carry a foetus in her body to full term or not. Always her rights should be put above and before the rights of any future child. Always a woman’s right to choose.

Pre election budget

So today is the pre election budget. People wondering what bribes will be in there. We won’t have long to wait until we get to see.

Useless

It’s the most horrible thing when you can see something awful happening around you and you can’t do anything about it. At the moment it’s the US presidential elections. Here there’s been many things including the last few elections including Brexit. I am still cross with the people who championed Brexit but felt useless at stopping it!

Sounds daft

It’s a lovely feeling when you have just got out of a bath or shower. Whether it’s the hair wash or something else l don’t know but one feels lighter! Sounds daft.

Sunday morning

I usually record Laura Kuensberg on BBC1 and watch Trevor Phillips on Sky News first thing on a Sunday morning. What surprises me is how they quite often have identical guests. Although they don’t ask the same questions.

Down to an art!

Taking my clean and dry washing upstairs on my stairlift is quite fun. I tuck the laundry under my left arm whilst controlling the stairlift with my right hand. I have it finally down to an art!
