One of my sisters is currently on an advert on the television. It is really nice to see her pop up in front of me even though she is acting!

Many people have been very brave in Russia attending rallies and leaving flowers to mark the death in prison of Alexei Navalny. Extremely brave of them. Many have been arrested.

Alexei Navalny has died. We should have expected it but l was quite shocked. Time to wait and see if anything happens but I suppose the people are too frightened to attempt anything in such a place as Russia.

My dear friend and neighbour took me to John Lewis in Norwich in her car and she wheeled me in her step father’s wheelchair to the furniture department where we tried out a load of sofas and then had a coffee before coming home. I am really glad she was with me. I learnt a lot!

I have been back downstairs for over an hour and wondering if I can get to sleep at all tonight. My mind is active so not sure when I might be able to have another attempt at getting to sleep. This time I didn’t get dressed – just pulled on a dressing gown. Hopefully I’ll be ready to nod off soon.

My dear brother died five years ago this week and I still miss him very much. He had been ill for a while but it was still unexpected. The past few years have passed really quickly and it feels like yesterday when we received the news. Strange thing – time!

I’m having breakfast in bed and watching Trevor Phillips on Sky News. I am getting really fed up with the Tories repeating the statement that Labour has no plan and that Labour keeps changing their plan. A complete contradiction!

I remember quite clearly where my liking for watching political programmes stems from. Whilst my family were discussing different people’s physical attributes of those l have never heard of over dinner l would be eating mine in the other room in front of the TV watching the News or That was the Week that Was. I could never interest the others in what I was learning. It has become quite a profound part of me.

Well that didn’t last long. Although it’s true to say my mind is very busy. I have known other people who didn’t/don’t sleep very well. Maybe I will have a nap this afternoon.

Now that I have worked out my next big (for me) purchases I can sleep at least for the present. I will just have to save up for a while. I am a bit slow this morning.
