Still taking the tablets…

Hopefully

This is my third morning to wake up feeling rough. Covid tests still negative. My son and his partner still feeling grotty but a bit better so hopefully I will soon.

Pretty miserable!

I have gone down with a rotten cold but still managing to get things done, just about. Feeling pretty miserable!

Back home

I spent a lovely Xmas with my son and his partner in their new house. They really looked after me but it is nice to be back home although it is strange to be on my own again.

Rotten luck!

I am starting to hear of Christmases being cancelled because of Covid. What rotten luck! I hope that doesn’t happen to me!

The feasting

I do love the celebrations this time of year for many beliefs and religions. I love the exchange of cards and goodwill and, of course, gifts are nice too. Even the feasting is good until you stand on the scales.

On strike

After the nurses were on strike yesterday… today it’s the ambulance workers turn. So many people are going on strike. It’s really sad that they have all come to this. And the government make me very angry… they won’t even talk to them but, there again, they are Tories.

In a dream

I bought some bacon which I do about once a year. I awoke in the early hours fretting in a dream about cooking it. I couldn’t get this dream out of my head so hopefully it will clear now I am up.

Much warmer

It is so much warmer today. I think I will be able to turn my heating down!

Not good!

Sometimes I feel really sorry for men. They are programmed to wear their hair short from an early age and most of them wear the same outfit and the same shoes. If they want to be colourful it’s the tie or socks. Pitiful. On the other hand I see the men in Afghanistan or I watch the News here even. Not good!

Frozen shut

The sun is out. I am hoping it will sort out my wheelie bins which are frozen shut as I have stuff to go out. My friend told me to punch them which should loosen them but I will give it awhile.
