I have opened my window this morning… ooh! cool air.

I will say it again… it’s so hot!!!

Salman Rushdie is in quite a bad way after the stabbing attack yesterday all because of his writing. Freedom of expression is a vital part of our world and I would hate to live in a country where we are unable to be honest in what we are allowed to say.

I completely overslept today and very tired still. Will have a bath and wash my hair after breakfast… that might wake me up!

I am a bit wobbly on my legs this morning. Just taken my meds including my first iron tablet for nearly three weeks due to hospital instructions. It is very hot today.

I went for my procedure at the hospital yesterday. I found the enema really hard to do and my friend helped but at the hospital they decided to do a second enema just in case. Then all went well and I got the all clear. Very tired this morning!

Another heatwave coming by the end of the week. At least by our standards. We are going to have to get used to it!

I am going to have a sigmoidoscopy soon. It plays with my mind especially when I am in bed. I think what bothers me most is the enema I am going to have to give myself beforehand. I wish I could just take it in my stride.

We are facing a cost of living crisis and those of us on a low income will be badly hit. We will have to cut back as much as we can if we are going to get through it.

I had a dream that I sent my friend a surprise present and then I recalled, in my dream, that I don’t have her postal address and I haven’t thought about much else this morning!
