There are still women on the television who are wearing stupid shoes that are giving a bad impression to our youngsters. You can see them wobbling especially on stairs and they shuffle foot to foot because their shoes are hurting their feet. I used to wear them because I thought they looked sexy. I now know that they don’t. They are disfiguring their feet so really stupid.
My pedometer
Sun 26th Jun, at 09:38 am | Deirdre | Diary
My pedometer has been playing up – not helped by me dangling it in my mug of water. So I ordered a new one. But it seems to be working again at the moment. I will have to take it a day at a time. Fortunately they are not too expensive. I need to use one for my Diabetes Prevention Programme.
Stealing

It is looking like Russia is stealing Ukrainian grain and selling it abroad. We will wait and see.
A little faster

I think the Tories are on their way out – I wish it would happen a little faster though!
Drilling

I don’t know what the workmen are doing outside but they are drilling. So perhaps I had better not put out the washing.
Just woken
Wed 22nd Jun, at 08:33 am | Deirdre | Diary
I have just woken up and I couldn’t find my glasses. I looked for about ten minutes and finally found them in the bed although I had been looking there. I am expecting company so had better eat my breakfast!
See sense

So the RMT is out on strike today. The government is as useless as usual. Other unions may follow the rail workers to take industrial action like the teachers and the NHS. We will just have to wait and see whether the government will see sense.
I forgot

I forgot all about placing my Avon order so I quickly did it this morning as best I could. Terrible!
Rail strikes
Sun 19th Jun, at 09:30 am | Deirdre | Diary
So the UK is having rail strikes this week. It’s a shame it has come to this but sometimes it is the only way to protect the workers. I don’t know if the Tory government is capable of sitting down and talking with the workforce. Many of the workers are on very low wages and nothing like the train drivers which the government keeps quoting!
