Still taking the tablets…

Boris

So Boris won the vote but 148 Tory MPs voted against him. Will we really have to put up with him for another year? I hope not!

Vote of no confidence

It has now been announced that there is to be a vote of no confidence in Boris Johnson this evening to see if he still has the confidence of fifty percent of his party. It is not known how this will go but he could win it.

Platinum Party

I stayed up late and watched the ‘Platinum Party at the Palace’ which was part of the celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee but I had to get up early this morning because I am expecting a delivery.

Retirement homes

I spent hours yesterday checking out retirement homes and houses in Nottingham where my son is moving to. I do love looking at property not that I could afford much. But as I said to him I am very happy where I am.

My sister

One of my sisters and her husband visited me yesterday and took me out for lunch at a local bistro. I haven’t seen them for over there years I don’t think. It was a really nice visit.

70 years

Starting today it is a long bank holiday weekend for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – she has been on the throne for 70 years. Many celebrations!

Questionnaire

Well the Labour leader and Deputy leader have both been sent a Police questionnaire because they are being investigated for lockdown breaches.

Missing

My rollator arrived but the box was open one and accessories were missing. My friend came and set it all up for me. Turns out my light and bell are coming separately today.

Rollator/walker

I have bought a rollator/walker which I believe is being delivered today. I need to run it all past my doctor.

Terrible!

Boris had changed the rules so that lying to parliament is no longer a resign/sackable offence. Terrible!
