I was very slowly losing weight and then I stood on the scales this morning and… Oh dear!. I have put pounds on. I am going to have to be really good.

Apparently the Queen had said that she wants Camilla to become Queen Consort when Charles becomes King. I should think that most of us had been expecting that already.

The Queen is rather marvellous. She does a great job and seems to be in good health. Whether or not we should have a Monarch in this day and age isn’t a question I should attempt to answer. But I think she is wonderful!
Belfast

The new film ‘Belfast’ looks really good. Hopefully, one day, it will be on the television and not on a channel that I don’t have. I have difficulty going to the cinema.

So I watched the debate in the House of Commons yesterday about the behaviour in No. 10 over the past two years with regards to parties which broke lockdown rules. The government ‘s behaviour is currently shocking. Looks like we are going to have to wait.
My pedometer

I don’t know what to make of my pedometer. I wear it on a lanyard around my neck. It is supposed to go up by nine every time I have done that many steps but last night it didn’t go up and I thought it should have and then this morning it went up by 20 and then by 16. I will have to read the leaflet again.
Killed the bulb

When I was heading for bed last night I turned my sitting room light off and then back on straight away and then thought I had killed the bulb. I tried it several times but it wouldn’t work. I arranged for my friend to come and change the bulb today. But this morning it all seems to be working. I wonder if there is something wrong with the switch.
Humanist marriage

We are hoping that Humanist marriage will soon be made legal in England and Wales – without having to go through another legal marriage too. It is legal in the North of Ireland and Scotland.
