I am in need of a plumber. I rang him last week but he was fully booked before the holiday so I agreed to ring today.

I have spent much of the weekend looking at sheltered housing for sale or rent online. Besides laying out money on them there is quite a hefty sum paid out monthly. Quite nice to look at though.

Happy holiday weekend to everyone. I am not a Christian but I enjoy the long weekend and the chocolate… which was part of what I grew up with.

My son and his partner visited bringing chicken stew and a Thornton’s egg with them. They were suggesting to me that I look into a move into sheltered housing. Certainly worth thinking about.

Friends and family have been asking me how I am doing. I must admit that there is a certain amount of relief and I can’t think about getting another cat anytime soon.

It is very strange without Lily. Several times I have seen her from the corner of my eye and I have heard her a few times too. The mind plays tricks…

My volunteer driver who has become a friend took me and my cat Lily to the vets and she was put down. Then he took me to a drive in kfc which was very good of him. He also said it was free Tuesday and wouldn’t let me pay for anything. I phoned the vets and paid the bill when I got home.

The boiler Engineer fixed my boiler so I have hot water and it is lovely and warm in here. He will have to come back to fit a replacement part which will take about three hours.

Well I spent several hours in bed trying to get to sleep knowing that I will have to be up early in the morning. Finally I got up again! Much more comfortable in the sitting room.

Not been feeling that well today. I hope that I will be okay tomorrow!
