We are all wondering if there is going to be a second national lockdown and shielding for me again. In the meantime, I took Lily to the vets which cost a lot. She has lost so much weight, is wobbly on her feet and her urine sample was full of bacteria so she had an antibiotic injection. I will keep an eye on her!

My cat Lily nibbled my nose at 2.00 this morning. I thought I was dreaming but no. She had been missing a week. Yesterday I had put a small amount of cat litter with her pee on it around the back garden – I don’t know if that brought her home. She was very hungry and skinny and is asleep again.

My cleaner/helper can’t come this week because she is self isolating. Her replacement is coming this morning. Hopefully that will go okay.

I saw the Andrew Marr repeat last night. It was said that many of us who were told to shield before will be asked again. So I will wait and see if I receive another letter.

It seems very quiet and still without Lily. I haven’t given up hope yet and we signed up with Pets Reunited, where people go out and look for her and we pay a small reward if anyone finds her. And there are more posters going out tomorrow. Besides all of this I am aware she might just have gone off to die somewhere.

A very good friend put a load of posters in poly pockets on lamp posts and telegraph poles in the area. Hopefully someone will see her.

Several of my friends went out looking for my cat and one of them designed a poster. We are hoping to receive 50 of them in the post today. I am really exhausted. I phoned everyone I could think of. Another friend came with poly pockets and we shared some wine. Just what I needed!
