Still taking the tablets…

About time!

So it is going to be compulsory for people to wear masks in shops and supermarkets. About time!

Prism sticker

I am really looking forward to getting my new glasses. I have been wearing these ones for many, many years and have had this prism sticker for my double vision since February and it has curled up and I can’t see much through it. Now that the hospital know how much prism I need it will be incorporated into my new specs. Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long.

My bubble

My son and his partner are in my bubble. They came to see me yesterday and I had my first hugs for many months – which you can do with those in your bubble. They wore masks whilst they were here although I didn’t. It was really lovely to see them!

Raincoat

I have actually got around to ordering a thin (mack) raincoat. Something I can wear in the hot weather. Something I have meant to do for years.

The Engineer

I was really anxious when I thought about the District Nurse coming at the same time as the Engineer coming to service my boiler. I was fearful that I would be caught half dressed which I have to do for the District Nurse. They came at completely different times in the end.

District Nurse

One of the District Nurses is coming to see me this morning. They will remove the dressing on my back, clean and repack it and replace the dressing. It would be good if they said I could go without a dressing so I could have a bath. I will never get used to washing my hair in the shower.

It is pouring

It is pouring down and, so far, no water has come through my ceiling.I had my roof done just in time!

The roof

I hope it doesn’t rain today so the roofers can finish the roof. They have finished repointing the chimney and now have the felting to sort out.

Roofers

I made sure I was up early because the roofers will be here in half an hour. They seem like quite a good group of people and I will find out what to do about offering tea and coffee.

In bed

I have been so tired and fought to wake up this morning. The cat was miaowing and Andrew Marr was on the television. Breakfast in bed on a Sunday.
