Still taking the tablets…

At home

My cat Lily is home. She has done many patrols around the house and around me and just wants to stay close. She is also very hungry.

Lily

I was starting to think that this might be the end for my cat Lily when the vet phoned last night. She said that she had just removed the drip and cannula from Lily and she would be able to come home today. Yippee!

My fence

I have had my fence panel near my back gate fixed. Somebody had cut a hole in it near the padlock and my new handyman has sorted it out. I hope they don’t do it again.

Perked up

Yesterday first I heard that Lily had perked up and would probably be allowed home in the afternoon. But then she did another diarrhoea and they took a sample and said she couldn’t come home. I am waiting to hear from them this morning.

Lily

We took my cat Lily to the vets yesterday evening – they said she was dehydrated, they sedated her and put her on a drip. They said she would be in the hospital for two days and besides the diarrhoea she probably has cystitis and possibly kidney problems. They will do tests. It was just under £800 plus antibiotics possibly.

Still poorly

I made sure I was up in time for the new handyman who will be here in one hour (hopefully). My cat Lily is still poorly. She isn’t eating and has the runs so I will see what the vets say. My friend Charlie is going to help with that.

Lily

When I woke up this morning my cat Lily was nowhere to be seen. That in itself was very worrying but she didn’t eat her food yesterday and not been near her breakfast. It is very hot and she does have an upset tummy. I will keep a close eye on her. She is fifteen.

Opticians

I went to the opticians yesterday. I had the long awaited paperwork from the hospital’s eye clinic. My new glasses cost a small fortune – they are my usual lenses plus prism added. Oh well, I will be able to see!

Brilliant!

I posted my handyman job and I heard back from one pretty quickly. Brilliant! Amazing how things can change.

Handyman

Finding a wonderful, reliable handyman at all, never mind one who has the time to come out and do little jobs is pretty impossible. I don’t know what I shall do!
