Had a very busy day when the District Nurse came and did my back along with everything else that was done. It wasn’t as painful as I had expected. I slept really well last night too!

Yesterday the nurse said my abscess would have to be done at the hospital and an hour or so later that’s where I was. I didn’t have to wait long and then it was done. The District Nurse will come today to repack and dress it.

I now have a carbuncle (cyst) on my back. It has been there a long time but not bothered me for years. It decided to burst yesterday. There is a nurse coming out to see me today.

So with the nerve pain in my face and the pressure in my ear I am qualified to say that shingles is the pits.

I usually have breakfast in bed on a Sunday but today I just am not with it. I wish I felt better.

Now I have to get off the codeine and back onto the plain paracetamol. I will do it gradually – starting with the low dose cocodamol (which I have come down to). It would be easier if I wasn’t in pain.

I seem to be turning off my alarm and going back to sleep until late – well, late for me! Perhaps that will change when I stop the painkillers!

It must be horrible to be in lockdown with a family which is forcing a person into a forced marriage. Terrible!

Everything is running late – I had better get a move on. I have started steaming my head in the hope it will clear my tubes. See if that helps!

My friend is coming with some stronger codeine which she has picked up for me. I am so thankful!
