Still taking the tablets…

This year

I am looking forward to Xmas this year. I am a non believer but there has been festivities this time of year long before the Christians hijacked it. So there!

These people

Who are these people who voted for the Tories? Nobody I know!!

Can’t stand

The Tories are very pleased with themselves. I can’t stand to watch. At least another five years of this. Ugh!!

Bowel cancer

My bowel cancer screening kit arrived. It is so much easier than the ones in the past. It is pretty incredible and well worth doing.

Queen’s speech

Another Queen’s speech within 3 months or so of each other. Crazy!!

The cinema

I used to go to the cinema with family on Boxing day but I can no longer get up the steps to the seats and struggled the last few times I went. Never mind, I am happy to wait for the films to be shown on the television.

The cat

I took a urine sample of the cat in to be tested at the vets. She phoned me later – Lily is still okay. Brilliant! I won’t have to repeat the exercise for quite some time.

Legal challenge

The legal challenge against collective worship has been won at their children’s school which isn’t a faith school. This means that the state funded school must provide a meaningful, inclusive alternative to religious assemblies that do not contain religious acts of worship or portray religion as factually true. The parents must be thrilled.

My befriender

I don’t see many people during the week and even fewer at the weekend but my dear age UK befriender usually breaks that up with an hour on a Sunday. She is very important to me and I really miss her when she is unable to come. But I am very grateful she is coming again before Xmas.

Star Wars

I stayed up and watched Star Wars Rogue One last night. I had missed the last three I think and I don’t know where this one comes but I really enjoyed it – it was very good!
