I gave Lily her little painkiller hidden in a piece of chicken and luckily she ate it. She was a bit dopey but a lot happier. So now I just have to keep getting it into her!
Vets
Fri 4th Oct, at 08:57 am | Deirdre | Diary
I took Lily to the vets. They kept her in and sedated her, gave her a drip, clipped her knots out, took a blood test and I picked her up later. She was better than last time but now has to have a daily painkiller.
Wait and see!

From what I have heard I don’t think the government’s replacement for the Irish backstop is going to go down very well. We will have to wait and see!
Removed from Range
Tue 1st Oct, at 08:01 am | Deirdre | Diary
It is already happening – there were several items in my normal shopping which had been removed from their range last week including cherries and Evian. It will, no doubt, get worse!
Spending
Mon 30th Sep, at 08:21 am | Deirdre | Diary

Feels like we are going into battle and I am a pacifist. What we need is for the good wise folk to sort out the baddies… please!
The Nazis
Sat 28th Sep, at 09:38 am | Deirdre | Diary
In the past the extreme right wing didn’t get space on television but these days they are treated like any other political party. Not a good idea! Just look back to what happened with the Nazis!
Vets
Fri 27th Sep, at 08:21 am | Deirdre | Diary
I phoned the vets to say that I needed help with my cat Lily’s few knots which are too near to the skin for me to cut out. They phoned me back with a quote – all I heard was “three hundred and …”
Parliament
Thu 26th Sep, at 08:15 am | Deirdre | Diary
I stayed up until late and watched parliament on television. Very angry MPs that went on for quite a long time. What will happen next!
