My dear friend Mary took us to the vets yesterday. She helped putting them into the carrier and drove us. She is so good and helpful, a true good friend. Anyway, besides their boosters they also had a check up. Molly has to have a tooth out and Lily has blood in her urine. Hopefully we can escape from cystitis but we will have to take Molly back. It will cost £300 including xrays but it will be covered by insurance.

I had to take my two cats to the vets for their vaccinations and as they are over 8 years old the vets request a urine sample from each of them. I started waiting and watching from late yesterday morning. Lily gave me one pretty quickly but l had a long wait for molly. She kept checking the tray and sniffing the polystyrene beads and walking away. 7.30 this morning she obliged. It has been a long night and I am very tired.

So I had remembered some things on my tablet. How to send an email and how to do my blog. I had tried to have a go to do other things but too scared. My cleaner, came yesterday and she showed me how to go on the internet which my son had installed and I had been too scared to have a go at. Then she installed skype but we had no addresses so I have two weeks to collect them before she comes again. What an angel!

It was that time of the month to give my cats their flea drops. For the past few months they have just sat there and let me do it so I was feeling very calm about it. I did molly and lily took one look and ran. I spent the next hour pretending I had moved on and then trying to get her but no luck. I nearly had her, she ran and I roared which shocked us all. She ran but then gave up. Success!

I thought it would be easier to get up in the morning now that the clocks have gone back but I am still struggling with it. At least l am making myself get on my exercise bike after breakfast.

My neighbour and friend Zoe invited me in to see what her daughter had spent her birthday money on and their new kitchen. It is very rare that I see anybody at the weekend.

I have been sleeping too late to do my early morning exercise on my exercise bike or my walk but this morning I took myself in hand and did 30 minutes on my bike (a good start). An hour or so later l walked to the corner shop. I was struggling for breath on the way back but I feel l achieved something.

This morning I thought I would check my emails and I must have touched something as suddenly all there was on my tablet was the picture of my cat molly which my son put on the home page. So I didn’t know what to do. So I touched the back symbol and the picture shrunk. Then l stupidly did it again and the picture became tiny. Oh dear. Then I thought of the home symbol. Phew!

I woke up on Monday with a very sore throat which by Tuesday had developed into a cold. My son challenged me to wrap his Xmas presents as I had said I had meant to do it in case he visited which he is unable to do very often. There was a knock at the door and there he was. He had brought me a bag with lots of soups and mandarin oranges and olbas inhaler thing and, as he had driven in his new (secondhand) car he would take me to Tesco to buy a new tablet called hudl 2 and I have been trying ever since to remember what he showed me to do with it. Ugh!
