Still taking the tablets…

My daily walk

I am aware I should be cutting back on food at the moment as I have been putting on weight although for the past week I have gone back to my daily walk which I only do in the warm weather. Today it was colder which meant I couldn’t get out for it which was frustrating so I might have to wait a little bit longer for the weather to change.

Physio

I have been doing my physio. Each morning I get up early. I do my cycling on my exercise bike for 3 sessions of 20 minutes each followed by the physio on my shoulder and I have now re-introduced my walk which I do in the warm weather. It all makes quite a difference.

Fish and chips

I heard a knock on the door on Thursday and the two little children from next door said “Dad said would you like to come for fish and chips tomorrow”. I said “yes please”. So Friday I went next door and joined them for plaice and chips. What a treat. And then afterwards Zoe and I tucked into some wine whilst John took charge of the children. Brilliant. So I overslept this morning.

The biggest scam

Religion is the biggest scam there ever was. To believe in a God who is able to hear what everybody on the whole planet is thinking at any given moment is irrational. And if the so called God can’t do that what is the point of anybody praying if nobody is listening? People say everything on the planet is so incredible it must have been created by a God. By this thinking this God must be so incredible it must have been created by an even greater entity and so on. Totally idiotic.

Heaven

Which planet in the universe is heaven on? Or is it supposed to be in a parallel universe? And how can one see their loved ones if their bodies have long since gone. Daft.

Physiotherapy

I have been told that I can have no more injections for my bad shoulder (which gave me no relief anyway) which has apparently developed into frozen shoulder so this week I start physio. I hope it’s not too painful.

Household plants

I have spent many years trying to keep household plants with no success. I either forget to water them and then drown them or my cats eat them. So this week I have invested in some artificial plants. Great stuff.

Mary

My good friend Mary took me out for a trip to Dunelm Mill early in the week. She is a teacher and it is half term holiday. Then on Friday she took me to TK Max and then on to the dentist. Fortunately my tooth just needed a filling and I didn’t even need an injection. And then Mary brought me home. A really good day.

Thursday

I had a difficult day on Thursday. I went to see the Doctor about my shoulder. It is 4 weeks since my cortisone injection and it is no better. She said it had developed into frozen shoulder and the only option is physiotherapy and it will take 1 to 2 years to get the full movement back. Then in the evening, whilst eating dinner, I broke a tooth. What a day!

Valentine’s Day

I spent last evening, like most others, alone. Quite often I phone or text someone but last night I didn’t want to interrupt other peoples’ Valentine’s Day. Having watched the advertisements on the tele of delicious meals and chocolates I felt sadly lacking and rather lonely. Never mind.
