Politically speaking it is very tricky all over the planet. So many places are having elections and some places, like USA, could be in dire straits by the end of the year. But we, hopefully, will sail through all of it with no ill effects… who knows!

I don’t know how the Conservatives can just tell so many blatant lies. They all keep saying low taxes and low immigration with them and high ones with Labour. But both taxes and immigration are the highest levels ever under the Tories. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I stayed up and watched the Election head to head of the two main leaders. The Prime Minister was very aggressive but he is not doing well in the polls. I have already voted but still interested in the way it is going.

With my antipsychotics I get a very dry mouth and throat and, whatever the weather, I go through lots of ice lollies. But with the hot weather the supermarket hasn’t got my regular order so my friend said she will stop off on her way here and try to get some. Wonderful!

I woke early and couldn’t get back to sleep so after a couple of hours I gave up and came downstairs. I have bits and pieces to do today but basically a relaxed one. Not that I have very busy days usually. Tummy rumbling so maybe I won’t wait too long before getting breakfast.

I had a full check up at the surgery followed by an appointment with the GP. I have lost 13 kg since they weighed me a year ago and I am no longer 5 ft 1 – l am 4 ft 11 which really surprised me. My GP is on maternity leave so I saw someone else who was equally nice. Then my friend took me out for a big fry up which he treated me to. Nice way to start the week.

We must beware of right wing populists. We must never forget the 1930s in Germany. It is bad enough with Europe taking a step to the right without people supporting them here. Really scary!

I very rarely go out but now that I am going to venture forth then I am to be expecting a delivery which needs to be signed for. I will have to look into my options.

I was up most of the night and very tired today. I should feel better after my bath which I don’t but at least my hair is clean. Hopefully I will improve during the day.

My sister who is very fragile is improving and possibly well enough for discharge. My son, although feeling rotten, is managing to keep working from home. His partner who has been away hopefully got home safely last night. Me – I am well – although very tired even though I am sleeping like a log at the moment.
