I woke up early and, unable to get back to sleep because my mind was unsettled, I came downstairs. Hopefully I will be able to put my mind at ease by the end of today.
Feel better!
Mon 29th Apr, at 07:44 am | Deirdre | Diary
My weight is down and I have just got out of the bath where I washed my hair and I feel much lighter all around. I shouldn’t think that I have lost a lot of weight overnight and I wasn’t that dirty but it just makes me feel better!
Absolutely beautiful!
Sun 28th Apr, at 07:45 am | Deirdre | Diary
My dear friend L is staying near ish to the north coast of Spain for a while and sent me the views from where she is staying this morning. Absolutely beautiful!
A special day
Sat 27th Apr, at 08:36 am | Deirdre | Diary
It’s a special day for someone l love and l am very excited on their behalf. Strange that although I rarely see them that l should feel this depth of feeling – I hope they have a lovely day!
Post Office Inquiry
Fri 26th Apr, at 10:00 am | Deirdre | Diary
I have been watching the Post Office Inquiry on the News Channel. Really awful how the sub postmasters were treated – these people must be properly compensated for what they were put through – including the families of those who are now deceased.
Getting me down
Thu 25th Apr, at 08:03 am | Deirdre | Diary
The pain in my leg has eased – thank goodness! It was really getting me down – which is daft as that doesn’t help at all. A bit stupid really. But it was really painful when I walked or basically just when I moved it. Thank goodness I have a stairlift.
Being considered
Tue 23rd Apr, at 07:46 am | Deirdre | Diary
On the very morning when the Rwanda Bill has gone through parliament and people are receiving texts telling them that they are being considered for transport to Rwanda there is a report of several migrants being killed trying to cross from Dunkirk in a small boat. A bleak morning all around!
Still hurting
Mon 22nd Apr, at 08:05 am | Deirdre | Diary
Just got out of the bath – a little later than usual – my right leg still hurting like it did yesterday but possibly a bit better. I will have to keep moving it in the hope it will ease.
Being indoctrinated
Sun 21st Apr, at 05:50 am | Deirdre | Diary
When I see children being indoctrinated around me and commitments being asked of them even before puberty it is really disturbing. I know that they are too young to understand the implications of what they are doing and, hopefully, that they will eventually go out into the world and meet lots of different people with different thinking then l can live in hope of a world where people can live together side by side in a kind and moral place without resorting to any superstition or ridiculous rituals which mean absolutely nothing.
