One of my dear friends came over last night and she brought fish and chips, one of my favourite boxes of cookies and a bunch of sunflowers. It was really nice to see her and catch up. Time always goes fast when you’re having fun.

I watched what happened in Russia very closely on Saturday. Hopefully this was the start of something significant for the good. I can only live in hope…

Another night when I couldn’t get to sleep. It is muggy and I was busy thinking and decided, after a few hours, that I wasn’t going to sleep. It should be cooler in a few hours so perhaps I could have a nap then.

Just thinking about my brother this morning. I really miss him. He lived in Australia but we saw him and his lovely wife from time to time. He died several years ago.

I am expecting a delivery from the pharmacy sometime today after 9.00 so I went and completely overslept and I have only just got dressed. Hopefully I haven’t missed them!

The last two nights I have slept like a log now that I have relaxed a bit. Amazing about how hopeful news can make all the difference!

Apparently there is a stairlift that might be able to be fitted to my very steep and narrow staircase. I should hear about it soon. It would be lovely if I could stay here.

It is wonderful! – my television is now working okay. And my emails have started coming through again although it still isn’t back to normal yet. But I have been worrying about it and it’s very muggy so I can’t sleep yet again.

My television has been playing up but I don’t know if it’s the tv set or my tv provider. It has been playing up since the coronation. I will have to phone them l think.

I have found myself looking out for properties just in case I have to move. Looking at flats is pretty contagious. And then I actually found one that I would be happy with but, of course, it’s much too expensive for my budget. Oh well!
