So I haven’t felt 100% today but not too bad considering. Had a really busy day but spent much of it with different friends. No alcohol today!

Excellent!
June 30th, 2026 | Deirdre | Diary
I was given a chilled bottle of rose and it went down really smoothly. Excellent!
It’s so hot
June 28th, 2026 | Deirdre | Diary
It’s so hot and a bit of an effort. Although there’s now a bit of a breeze which helps a lot. The most difficult thing seems to be peeling one’s clothes off and putting back on. Really difficult.
A visit
June 27th, 2026 | Deirdre | Diary
I have had a visit from my son and his partner who came and, as always, helped me with a lot of things, gave me hugs and gifts, and shared pizza with me. What a lovely time it was.
Nothing new
June 26th, 2026 | Deirdre | Diary
I’m finding this really hot weather (35 etc) very difficult to do anything. Just sitting in front of the television but nothing new about that.
A death
June 25th, 2026 | Deirdre | Diary
We have had a death and people have been sending good wishes which is very kind. It will take a while before everything gets back to normal. Probably not until after the funeral. Very sad.
Too complicated
June 24th, 2026 | Deirdre | Diary
I was thinking quite strongly of returning my new coffee table and exchanging it for a paler wood. By the time I had heard what it would entail including taking apart etc and building the new one I decided it is all too complicated for me.
It’s rotten
June 22nd, 2026 | Deirdre | Diary
I think it’s rotten that Sir Keir Starmer has been pushed all this time to resign as Prime Minister. I hope those responsible should feel guilty but I suppose they won’t even think about it. There’s one TV journalist who has been criticising him ever since day one but is talking about him now as though nothing to do with him.
Alendronic Acid
June 22nd, 2026 | Deirdre | Diary
I forgot to take my Alendronic Acid tablet yesterday which I am supposed to take before anything else to eat or drink and then wait, bolt upright, for 30 minutes before anything else. It’s a once a week pill so I have got up early this morning to take it.
Very ungracious
June 21st, 2026 | Deirdre | Diary
So will the Prime Minister resign? I suppose we just have to be patient, not the easiest thing! I am getting a bit fed up with it all and, of course, the Tories keep popping up – really boring! It’s all the doing of the right wing media who have been at it since Labour got in, very ungracious.
