For a person who doesn’t really watch any sport there’s quite a bit on at the moment. I didn’t grow up with any competitive spirit. A belief l should do my best, without the wish to win over other people.

Struggled to my feet

I was so tired. Turned off the alarm. Went to the loo and back to bed. I knew I have a visitor coming and daren’t nod off. Struggled to my feet. I’m now downstairs facing my breakfast. Television on. Trying to wake up…
Not much sleep

So I couldn’t get to sleep last night, gave up and came downstairs. I had a few naps, watched things l had recorded on the television but although I rested and dozed off a few times I have not much sleep to talk about really.
Nearly bedtime

I have just watched an episode of Miss Marple. I don’t know why I enjoy them so much but I did read Agatha Christie when I was growing up. Maybe it’s the glasses of wine l have just had this afternoon. Not long before bed, but Brokenwood Mysteries just beginning on the television which I will finish watching upstairs in bed a little later.

I really do feel for all those poor men who all have the same haircut, shirt tie and suit and the same shoes. Really very sad!

It seems that after the church funeral service there’s another thing at the crematorium which I am hoping won’t be religious at all and I am starting to look forward to that. Hopefully not just a different religion. But we will see!
Chocolate

I have eaten too much chocolate. I have been given some and shouldn’t have been so greedy. It’s warm weather and I should have put half of it into my fridge instead of consuming it before it melted. Oh dear!
The funeral

One of my sisters has died and I have to decide whether I can get to the funeral. It’s going to be a Roman Catholic affair and I find it all pretty primitive – something left over from the past. And, of course, there’s the journey. But I will do my best.
