Competitive spirit

For a person who doesn’t really watch any sport there’s quite a bit on at the moment. I didn’t grow up with any competitive spirit. A belief l should do my best, without the wish to win over other people.

Struggled to my feet

I was so tired. Turned off the alarm. Went to the loo and back to bed. I knew I have a visitor coming and daren’t nod off. Struggled to my feet. I’m now downstairs facing my breakfast. Television on. Trying to wake up…

Not much sleep

I don’t know why

I have just watched an episode of Miss Marple. I don’t know why I enjoy them so much but I did read Agatha Christie when I was growing up. Maybe it’s the glasses of wine l have just had this afternoon. Not long before bed, but Brokenwood Mysteries just beginning on the television which I will finish watching upstairs in bed a little later.

Chocolate

I have eaten too much chocolate. I have been given some and shouldn’t have been so greedy. It’s warm weather and I should have put half of it into my fridge instead of consuming it before it melted. Oh dear!

The funeral

One of my sisters has died and I have to decide whether I can get to the funeral. It’s going to be a Roman Catholic affair and I find it all pretty primitive – something left over from the past. And, of course, there’s the journey. But I will do my best.
