I am now having some counselling once a week and we are talking about things that have troubled me for years. Whether it helps in the long run I have yet to find out but I am hopeful.

So far the news on me getting a stairlift hasn’t been positive. My stairs are very steep and narrow and I am not light. We are trying one last company before giving up.

Two poultry workers have tested positive for bird flu. That is very worrying even though they are saying that there’s no evidence of human to human spread.

I have an upset tummy today – it’s a good job that I have nothing planned.

President Zelenskyy is meeting the Prime Minister in London today having just been in Berlin and Paris. I hope he gets what he needs.

I was just having breakfast in bed when I dropped my little brown iron tablet onto a taupe carpet. I keep looking and looking but, so far, no luck. Thank goodness I don’t have a pet anymore!

I have just got up and the men are already working on the roof. Absolutely brilliant!

My bathroom upstairs has a terrible ceiling – all brown patches and cracks in the plaster board. It will have to wait before that is done.

I went to my dear friend’s wedding which was absolutely lovely. My new friend and neighbour took me and was an absolute treasure. I only meant to stay for the ceremony but was delighted to stay for the reception. I thought I would sleep like a log but find myself sitting downstairs in the middle of the night writing this…

It rained heavily yesterday and I put a bigger bucket up there. When I went upstairs last night, even though I had checked earlier, there was water all over the place in that room. I put another big bowl up there but couldn’t quite tell where it was all coming from exactly. Not good!
