Still taking the tablets…

40 degrees

They have predicted a chance of the temperature reaching 40 degrees on Monday and Tuesday. I hopefully won’t have to go out.

Windows

I am very hot this morning. Hopefully it will be better after I open some windows.

Big guns

My computer is playing up. I have had to call in the big guns. Hopefully he can help.

Prime Minister’s Questions

Boris Johnson will be doing Prime Minister’s Questions from the Commons today at midday. It will be the first time since his resignation.

Oh dear!

It’s so hot and I have put weight on. Not a very good morning. Oh dear!

Quite drunk

My dear friend came over yesterday and we sat in the garden and devoured a bottle of yellow tail rose. I was quite drunk after it as I had a gin and tonic earlier. I did manage to cook my dinner and, a little later, take myself off to bed. I still don’t feel quite back to normal.

Phew!

The Engineer came quite quickly yesterday. The central heating timer was behaving normally and he could see nothing wrong. After I explained what it had been doing he played with it for a bit and luckily it started playing up. I was so glad that he saw it and he went and got a replacement and fitted it… and it didn’t cost too much. Phew!

The Engineer

I woke up this morning to strange noises coming from the airing cupboard. Things are flashing off and on so I called out the Engineer. I hope it’s nothing too pricey.

Boris

So Boris gave his resignation speech but he didn’t say that he had resigned and there is doubt whether he is just staying on until a replacement is found or if he is being crafty.

53 MPs

So 53 Tory MPs have now resigned in the last 48 hours from their government jobs. A number of cabinet ministers tried to persuade Boris to resign but he wouldn’t. I have never seen anything like this before.
