I have been very poorly. I now know that the reason I have a rash, swollen lips and tongue, crusty blisters on my chin and one side of my face plus earache is that I have shingles. I have shingles in my mouth and ear. I look like a monster!

Don’t feel good this morning. I thought the antibiotics would have kicked in by now!

Phoned the surgery who visited and examined me. My glands are swollen. Turns out when I burnt my mouth and throat on Friday with tomato soup I took off a layer of skin and it is getting infected. She sent a prescription for antibiotics to my friend who works in a pharmacy and she dropped the medicine into me after work. Really not well.

I feel sorry for myself again this morning – I think it’s just toothache but now is not the time. I feel muzzy headed too. And this morning I have been completely out of breath.

To add to the sore mouth and throat I now also have been getting headaches and earache. I left a message for a Clinician to contact me but I am sure it’s not Covid-19. I don’t have a temperature or a dry cough!

One of my friends helped me remotely with an online account. That was really wonderful of her!

I don’t feel great this morning – the pain in my sacroiliac joint was bad first thing and easing now and I burnt my mouth and throat on some tomato soup yesterday. So I am feeling sorry for myself.

Yesterday we all went out and Clapped for our Carers again. We do it every Thursday to give our thanks to the NHS and other key workers. It is really nice to see my neighbours out there!

Apparently people who are obese have a very bad time from this virus and things don’t look so good. So I have lung disease, high blood pressure and I am obese. Not very good!

I read on Sky news on my phone that the government had been saying since Saturday that we were waiting for a delivery including gowns from Turkey whereas they didn’t place the order until Sunday!
