Yesterday my dental appointment had come around. I went via Transport plus which is a voluntary car service which helps people with a medical problem. I have great difficulty getting up the two flights of stairs so it took me some time to catch my breath. But my teeth were okay and I was soon home again.

I went to my lovely neighbours for a cup of tea and friendly chat yesterday as I do from time to time. Their two children share a bedroom and they have decided they want to live somewhere with more space. I will sadly miss them when they move.

I woke up late and struggled to put on my clean jeans. They are always tighter when they are fresh out of the wash but I have put some weight on. So I am sitting here hoping the zip won’t go or the button won’t come away. Oh dear!

I had a McDonald’s last night – something l haven’t done in a long time. I then came upstairs early and my friend Barry rang. We talked for over two hours and I told him all about my week. One of the things he wanted to run by me was that he was thinking of buying a computer. I think l put him off a bit. Woke up this morning in a bit of a panic about this last week!

Had a rotten day yesterday still sorting out things which came about because of the changes. In the evening l opened up a much needed bottle of wine whilst I waited for someone to come and collect a parcel. I gave up waiting at 9.00 and went to bed.

Yesterday l, amongst others, received an email from someone l know and I ended up typing in a password. Turns out she was hacked. My son very kindly helped me change all my passwords. It was confirmed the woman hadn’t emailed me. Aren’t some people rotten!

Just an update that Joni Mitchell is still in hospital but, apparently, getting stronger. I am a fan so very pleased to hear about it.

I woke up in a bit of a rush and saw an item on the News first thing. It showed a black guy in America who was stopped with a broken tail light and he was running away from a white cop who shot him in the back in South Carolina. The cop has been charged with murder… I should think so!

My right knee has been ever so painful – ever since I sat for all those hours waiting to get urine samples from my cats. Anyway, yesterday my friend Hilary – who runs the Craft Club – took me out to the large Sainsbury’s where she bought some groceries and some trousers and I bought some undies and then we went to their café for lunch. Well my knee was really painful so I bought some rub-in gel for it. The instructions say there might be a problem if you are asthmatic so I was very careful not to use that much. Anyway, l woke up this morning and I am practically pain free. Wow!

I am suffering this morning. Yesterday I had a bit too much to drink and then put roast potatoes in the oven and a chicken and mushroom pie and vegetables in the microwave. I ate too much on Saturday and did the same on Sunday. And I didn’t pig out on chocolate. Never mind, l will just have to cut back on food for a bit!
