Still taking the tablets…

Art therapy

I am so excited. My son has bought me a subscription to Art Therapy Magazine. It comes with lots of art supplies like colouring pencils. I am thrilled. It is so good of him!

Flying

Yesterday there was a plane crash over the French Alps. It always makes one feel a fear of flying although it is supposed to be the safest way of travelling. It is just that when you are that far up in the sky there isn’t much hope of surviving a crash.

Facebook

It looks like my seated tai chi class might not have come to an end after all. Apparently last Saturday’s class was cancelled because Chris, the teacher, was unwell and this information was on Facebook. I suppose I am behind the times because I don’t know anything about Facebook. Oh well!

Easter Fayre

I helped out at the Easter Fayre. It was quieter than the one at Christmas and we still have some Easter trees as yet unsold but it was a good day. I am really glad l helped out!

My tai chi

It was pretty cold and windy but I had a tai chi class to go to. Normally l wouldn’t walk out in this weather – l have difficulty breathing with my COPD  and asthma – anyway as I was the only one in the class last week l didn’t want to let them down. So I walked around there and the place was all locked up. I waited ten minutes and then decided nobody was coming and walked home again. Very disappointing!

Saturday

I woke up early this morning – well, before 6.00 am. I thought I would have my breakfast early and watch an early morning omnibus on the television. By 7.30 l had laid down again listening to the box and, before I knew it, the clock said gone 10.00. It was lovely to have a sleep in but definitely time to get up!

Wellbeing Service

When I went to the Wellbeing Service this week for my anxiety counselling l was very early again. The session went well but my homework is to work out how we can tackle my anxiety in stages – my friend Lynne is going to help me with that as I have no idea how to go about it. And then I had to wait quite awhile for my lift back – l don’t mind having to wait except l was imagining he wasn’t coming for one reason or another.

Helene

My new cleaner, who only came once, through a wobbly at the agency and walked out so I had another new cleaner. Helene seems very nice and well balanced and did a good job. Hopefully she will come back in a fortnight!

Barry

I spoke to my friend Barry on the phone last night. We first became friends in the late 60s and then, for a while, we became a couple, but that was a long time ago. However, we have remained friends and, although he lives in Lancashire, we remained friends and exchanged Christmas cards all these years. These days we chat on the phone for an hour or even two most weeks – long may we continue to do so!

Community Craft Club

I spent my time at Community Craft Club (which l have been calling Craft group) hanging things on the twig trees ready for the Easter Fayre which is coming up soon. We still have chocolate to add as we ran out of time. I am rather pleased with them.
